Member Minute: All About Fee Waivers

December 8, 2020 Hans Mundahl

Welcome to EMA’s Member Minute where I’ll be teaching you an actionable strategy, tip, trick, or hack to help you meet your enrollment goals and all that in about a minute.

You’re looking for the most qualified best-fit applicants and a family’s ability to pay for a standardized test shouldn’t be a barrier when applying to your school. At EMA we’ve offered millions of dollars in fee waivers for students in need who are seeking educational opportunities with our member schools.

There’s no charge to the school for a fee waiver and you can easily create, distribute, and manage fee waivers right from your Member Access Portal.

Fee waivers are for students with financial need and they cover the test fee for every way to take the SSAT: At-Home, paper-based, or at a Prometric test center. The fee waiver also includes the Character Skills Snapshot, SSAT online practice, and Admission Academy (that’s what we used to call the Family Webinar Series) but the fee doesn’t cover late or rush registration fees, changes, score alerts, or publications.

Access to independent schools should be fair and equitable and we’re here to help!

That’s been your Member Minute if you have any questions I look forward to connecting you inside EMA’s Member Community.
