Save the Funnel!

August 6, 2019

Aimee Gruber, Senior Director of Outreach & Business Developement, The Enrollment Management Association, NJ Hilary LaMonte, VP, Data and Analysis for School Leadership, NAIS, DC Janice Crampton, Executive Director, AISAP, CT The admission funnel’s most important function is to provide data for predictive modeling in the strategic enrollment management process. Without funnel metrics, how do you know if you are on track to meet enrollment goals? Yet, technology has transformed our work and our lives substantially and the admission funnel is no exception. Secret shoppers, stealth applicants, and multiple ways to apply to our schools require today’s admission professional to collect and analyze data in new ways. Equally important, we need to think anew about our data definitions and how we might standardize them across the industry, so that schools and groups of schools are assessing current market conditions using a common language and framework.
