Management & Leadership Strategies-Big School/Small School

August 9, 2019
With Lakeside School (WA)Bruce Mutch, Director of Admissions, Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (AB) Getting good admission results is a combination of good ideas and good team management. Two admission directors, one with a staff of eight, another with a staff of one (and 3 other faculty supports), will share their successful strategies related to staff management and team leadership. One will present a more centralized, team-effectiveness model based on individual expertise and team operating principles, and the other will present a moredecentralized office model that simply creates positive admission opportunities for faculty to aid in everything from prospective family visits to final admissions decisions. No matter the size of your school or staff, the hope is that you may incorporate pieces of these models into your own office culture. Please bring your own thoughts and perspectives on enhancing admission and financial aid office management.
