Leadership: Is It from Your Position or Your Disposition?

August 8, 2019

Gigi Chinisci, Assistant Director of Admission, Albuquerque Academy, NM No matter what our title is, no matter what our job description says, we are all leaders at some point. How you handle yourself in a leadership role affects those around you. Your disposition can either help you maximize the potential of your team or cause you to fall short. What can we learn from the Renaissance mathematician Nicolaus Copernicus about happiness? How can we utilize each engagement with our co-workers and prospective families as a positive interaction? Does a person's explanatory style of past events predict how they will react to future adversity? This presentation answers these questions by exploring the science of positive psychology and how you can implement simple techniques to make it work for you.
