Member Minute: Slides as Virtual Background

Welcome to EMA’s Member Minute where I’ll be teaching you an actionable strategy, tip, trick, or hack to help you meet your enrollment goals, and all that in about a minute.

If you share slides during a Zoom meeting you’ve noticed that in the past your picture would be very small while your slides were very big down here.

Zoom just added a new feature that allows you and your slides to be on the screen at the same time.

After you’ve updated to the latest version of Zoom:

  • Start a new meeting
  • Click ‘Share Screen’ then ‘Advanced’ then ‘Slides as Virtual Background’
  • Next, select a Powerpoint file to use as your virtual presentation
  • If you use Google Slides you’ll need to download your presentation first

Now your audience can see you and your slides at the same time. If you’re too big, small, or in the way you can adjust your size and position.

That’s been your Member Minute, if you have questions I look forward to connecting with you inside EMA’s member Community!
