Effecting Change Through Institutional Analysis

August 8, 2019
With Sarah Jallo, Jennifer Day Neely, and Clayton Smith Enrollment management is a highly interdependent effort, and influence does not lie with authority alone. To garner support and effect change, senior leadership must first understand the institution. This presentation provides a framework to understand an institution’s underlying philosophical perspective, use of information, and political power structure—creating an informed view of an institution and how one can operate within that system to effect change. Learn about spheres of influence and how to examine who holds true power and influence in your organization. This analytical approach will help any aspiring or senior administrator to understand his/her institution and find the clearest way forward in making impactful institutional changes.
