Admission is Everyone's Business!

August 9, 2019
With Priscilla Lund, Director of Admissions, Capitol Hill Day School (DC) Small PK-8 schools frequently have small admission departments. Yet these directors of admission face the same challenges in (and responsibilities for) recruitment, retention, marketing, and financial aid as their counterparts in larger schools. As a Director of Admission, you and your staff (if you have one!) cannot do it all on your own. This session explores why it is important that everyone in the school community sees themselves as crucial to the success of each family’s admission experience. Teachers, parents, staff, students, alumni, board members, business officers, development staff and members of the external community can all play a vital role. Discover how to utilize all of these constituencies to enhance your brand messaging, to improve recruitment, and to increase yield and retention.
