Assessment and the (Un) biased Mind

August 6, 2019
With Nathan R. Kuncel, Ph.D When making admission decisions we are faced with the daunting task of trying to see into the future with crystal balls that are cloudy, at best. This task is especially difficult because we want to achieve numerous goals and we have multiple stakeholders to which we’re accountable. Fortunately, with the past century of research, we have learned quite a bit about how better to achieve this goal. The amount of knowledge and data we have strains the information processing capacity of the human mind. Learn what methods can be used to help manage this information to make superior and unbiased decisions. This presentation also addresses the characteristics related to different types of success, and how to best evaluate those characteristics.
