Cross-Collaboration: Leveraging your Alumni for Admission

Cameron Steese, Senior Associate Director of Admissions, St. Timothy's School, MD Kimberly Coughlin, Director of Admissions, St. Timothy's School, MD Four years ago, St. Timothy’s School opened at 147 students; this past year, the school opened at 195 students. Much of the success is due to the activation of our alumnae base in various activities including but not limited to fairs, outreach, and receptions. Cross-departmental collaboration is a two-way street, and involved alumni sends a clear message to prospective families. Drawing on experiences working in undergraduate admissions at Georgetown and in MBA admissions at Dartmouth, the presenters share the various higher education tactics they have honed for the secondary school level.
